Polish-American sculptor, painter and designer. Born in 1923 in Warsaw, died in 2018 in the USA. Alumnus of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1966, he emigrated to the USA to pursue his artistic freedom. The city become his second home and a road to fame. He lived in the USA for 50 years and created his sculptures and unique fire and smoke paintings. In poland, he is mostly known as adesigner of porcelain figurines and coffee sets made for Ćmielów porcelain manufactory. His iconic Dorota porcelain set is a part of a permanent exhibition in Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Tomaszewski is a creator of artistic concept called In Tune with Nature, which lead to establishing international art movement called Emotionalism.
