Polish-American sculptor, painter and designer. He was born in 1923 in Warsaw and is an alumnus of the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. In 1966 he emigrated to the United States of America. He made his first steps towards artistic freedom in New York. This unique city became his new home and a road to fame. He died in the USA in 2018.
In Poland he is mostly known for his porcelain designs. For Ćmielów porcelain manufactory he created famous figurines and Dorota porcelain set, which is exhibited in Victoria and Albert Museum in London. He created paintings in his own original fire and smoke technique. To make his one of a kind sculptures the artist combines natural elements of unaltered wood and rocks with glass or metal.
